History
The original Rip-saw was published by John L. Morrison from 1917 to 1926. His goal was “to rip them [politicians] open and see whether they are sound or rotten.”

THE RIPSAW is published once every Month. Ten thousand copies are distributed at over 275 locations in Duluth, Minn. and surrounding communities. Removal of more than one copy of this publication from any distribution center is considered theft and punishable by law. Agricultural-based ink and recycled paper is used whenever possible.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR should be limited to 250 words. Contact information must be included with the letter, but will not be published. Anonymous letters will not be considered. The Ripsaw reserves the right to edit letters for length and libel or not to publish them. All letters to the editor become the property of the Ripsaw upon submission.

WRITING SAMPLES, comic strips or other materials submitted for consideration by the editor should total no more than ten pages and include a résumé. Response will usually be between two and four weeks. Send copies only. Submitted materials will not be returned.
